Virtual Coffee Break June 19, 2018

A great session with entrepreneurs in all stages of development along with support agencies met online to connect during a virtual coffee break.  It was a great opportunity for everyone to share what is happening with their organization and to make new connections.  An overwhelming positive response from entrepreneurs who normally can’t leave their place of business who were able to attend and contribute. Hope to see you at the next one!

Cannabis Dialogue Project May 17, 2018

I felt most welcomed by community members of Port aux Basques and Rose Blanche at the local firehall.  Following a supper of soup, chili and wraps, I facilitated a dialogue about cannabis.  Several participants commented at the end of the session that they heard about things they never though of before regarding the legalization of cannabis and potential impacts to their community.  This discussion was part of a larger Cannabis Dialogue project that is happening across Canada.

Innovation 2.0: Entrepreneurship, Diversity and Workforce Development May 14, 2018

Attended a fantastic event at Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook.  A tri-partner initiative hosted by Association for New Canadians, NL Workforce Innovation Centre and Navigate this event brought together stakeholders to discuss innovation in attaching people to the workforce of our region and the province.  I was hired by the NL Workforce Innovation Centre to lead the facilitation of roundtable discussions following a panel discussion with local leaders.  Discussion was lively and informative with a strong theme of partnership, communication and awareness emerging throughout the room of participants.
